Blue Pearl Jewellery The distinctive coloured shells of New Zealand Paua (Abalone) are admired world wide. Now pearls are available with these amazing range of colours. Using a special process a mabe (1/2 round) pearl is inserted in the live paua. By natural process the paua covers the mabe with layers of Nacre (shell) to produce the same wonderful colours over the pearl. These pearls are now available in our range of affordable pewter based jewellery. All these items are manufactured in cast pewter plated with either silver or 18ct gold. The blue pearls used are graded 7.5mm, unless stated otherwise. Prices are in New Zealand dollars.
